Maya transfers UP officer over negative publicity
Lucknow, Mar 19: Under the public scanner for the lavish BSP silver jubilee rally in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Mayawati has transferred her additional cabinet secretary Vijay Shankar Pande over the negative publicity that the celebration has incurred.
Pande was reportedly transferred due to the negative media coverage of the BSP's rally which was held on Mar 15. Mayawati was slammed by the newspapers and channels for accepting the multi-crore cash garland at the rally.
Pandey, who was the principal information secretary and principal secretary to CM will now take charge as principal health secretary.
He was associated with India Rejuvenation Initiative (IRI), an NGO fighting corruption in bureaucracy.
He has been replaced by Senior IAS officer Shailesh Krishna
