Mumbai: Unstable man kills 16-year-old over noise

Mumbai, Mar 18: A mentally unstable man shot dead a 16-year-old girl in broad day light over a disagreement on noise in Andheri on Thursday, Mar 18.

The accused, 65-five-year-old Harish Maroliya also oped fire at the police team before being shot at and killed in the cross-firing.

Maroliya, who was an advocate, killed the teenage girl after he had a fight with her father over noise. The accused and the family of the deceased were neighbours and were residents of a housing society in Andheri.

The incident took place near Navrang theatre in Andheri (West).

The accused reportedly abducted the girl and then shot her dead. The victim has been identified as Himani Mehta.

A constable and a sub-inspector have been injured in the firing.
