Facebook to begin hiring in Hyderbad

Written by: Staff

Hyderabad, Mar 17: The popular social networking site Facebook is all set to begin its operations in India at Hyderabad and is currently looking for an India head.

Besides 'looking for a person who can set up India team and scale it up' as India head, the company has plans of recruiting local language specialists, online sales managers and IT security heads. The hiring process will begin in few weeks.

The company's director of global online operations Don Faul, who arrived in India on Tuesday, Mar 16, told the media that he is scanning CVs for the post of India Head.

Speaking to Economic Times on how big the Hyderabad team would be, Faul said, "We will start small. Currently, we are looking for a person who can set up an India team and scale it up. The required skill sets obviously include strong insights into consumer internet experience. We also need the person to be intensely passionate about Facebook. The person should strengthen relations with our advertisers and partners in India and support those in North America and Western Europe out of here."

However, the Facebook has not updated its Hyderabad hiring plans on its Careers page.
