Kerala tourism's online hotel reservation gets big
Bangalore, Mar 15: The online hotel reservation system of Kerala Tourism is poised for a major expansion as it gets set to accommodate 4,500 new trade partners.
Launched in mid-2009, the system has been successful in attracting thousands of travelers. It currently has around 200 service providers and many more trade partners are expected to join in.
Attributing the success of the online reservation facility to the support of trade partners, M Sivasankar, Director, Kerala Tourism, said, “The spirit of the travel and tour industry in the State to avail of modern technologies has always helped Destination Kerala to move ahead of times.
The online service on www.keralatourism.org offers travelers a wide range of choices from five-star hotels to homestays in all parts of the state.
The service has now been further simplified with a search facility. The search option makes the process of searching and booking a place easier for the travelers. The visitors can also choose between a simple search and an advanced search option.
“Initiatives like the online reservation system aims at providing travelers a complete holiday experience with least hassles and formalities,"" stated Dr Venu V, Secretary, Kerala Tourism.
