BSP gears up to celebrate silver jubilee
Lucknow, Mar 15: Bahujan Samaj Party covered Lucknow city in blue as the party is all set to celebrate its silver jubilee on Monday, Mar 15.
The city was drapped in the party's color - blue, right from 12-km route from Hazratganj, the heart of the city, to the rally venue at Ramabai Ambedkar grounds.
Even some of the traffic islands along the route were seen with a net of tiny blue lights, while important state buildings across the city were covered in blue.
The Rs.1,200 crore worth Ambedkar Memorial reflected the grand celebration instore, as the place was profusely illuminated.
The party ensured that the announcement do not remain unnoticed and the portraits of Mayawati emblazoning on the freshly painted hoardings was part of this endeavour.
However, the lavish preparation has drawn the ire of the oppositions who alleged that Mayawati has spend Rs 200 crore of state fund.
