Written by: Staff

Bareilly, Mar 15: The Bareilly district administration has decided to relax the curfew for four hours on Monday, Mar 15 in the five police station areas of the city.

IG Bhanoo Pratap Singh and Commissioner Majid Ali said that the curfew will be relaxed from 10 am to 2 pm.

However, schools will remain closed until further orders, they added.

The areas where curfew will be relaxed include Prem Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Kotwali, Baradari and Qila areas of the city.

On Mar 2, curfew was clamped down in the city after communal clashes over a barawafat procession.

Despite the curfew, mobs allegedly torched 20 shops in the Qutubkhana sabzi mandi on Saturday, Mar 13. Following which police were provided with a helicopter for aerial monitoring on Sunday, Mar 14.
