Maharastra ATC averts attack on ONGC, 2 held
Mumbai, Mar 14: Maharashtra's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Sunday, Mar 14 arrested two people who were allegedly planning to blow up oil tanks of the state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), an official said.
Media reports said that the suspects, Abdul Latif Sheikh and Riyaz Ali planning to blow up the oil tanks when they were arrested.
The detained suspects had identified three targets - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) facilities, Mangal Das market and Thakur Mall.
According to an ATS official, the duo are suspected to have links with international terrorist outfits.
The duo have been placed under police custody till Mar 18.
