Left protests price rise, stages walk out in LS

New Delhi, Mar 12: The Left front may have completely backed the Women's Reservation Bill, but the parties made it clear that it will still continue to fight against the government over the issue of price rise.

While supporters of the Left parties held demonstrations against the rising prices of essential commodities, MPs in the Lok Sabha staged a walk out over the issue.

Communist Party of India leader, Gurudas Gupta demanded a white paper on price rise in the lower house on Friday, Mar 12.

Many prominent names of the Left front are also taking part in the demonstrations. Protesters indulged in slogan shouting against the government and demanded immediate steps to bring down the soaring prices.
