Facebook pressurised to install 'panic-button'
London, Mar 12: After a 17-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped and murdered by a men she met on Facebook, the popular social networking site has come under a lot of pressure to install a 'panic button' on the site so that children can to get immediate police help if they suspect they're at risk.
British child protection authorities have not only been pressuring Facebook, but also other social networking sites to put up a one-click button for quiet some time now.
This demand intensified after the murder of 17-year-old Ashleigh Hal by Peter Chapman, who met his victim and befriended her on Facebook.
