Social services chiefs apologise for letting 'British Fritzl' rape his daughters

London, Mar 11 (ANI): Social services chiefs have issued an apology for letting a father rape his daughters for twenty five years.

In an appalling echo of Austrian incest beast Josef Fritzl, the man, dubbed British Fritzl, made them give birth to nine of the babies - two of whom died.

The man made his daughters pregnant 18 times and nine children were born.

A case review published exposed a catalogue of missed chances by police, social workers and health workers to save the sisters from the horrors, reports The Sun.

The father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to life in prison in November 2008 when he admitted repeatedly raping the girls. (ANI)
