Al-Qaeda claims it has invisible jet bomb
London, Mar. 1 (ANI): Al-Qaeda chiefs have claimed that they have made an explosive that is undetectable.
The terror group's Yemen-based team says it has carried out extensive research into thwarting airport security.
According to The Sun, the Al Qaeda has said in an online statement that it has "dozens of sophisticated" bombs similar to the one Umar Abdulmutallab, 23, hid in his pants in a bid to blow up a Detroit-bound Christmas Day jet.
It says the new devices have no metal parts that could show up on X-ray machines.
And tightly sealed packaging will defeat detection by sniffer dogs.
Experts suspect any new explosive, if true, could be liquid-based. (ANI)
