President pays tribute to Kabul attack victims
New Delhi, Feb 28: President Pratibha Patil paid a floral tribute to the six Indians who were killed in Kabul blast.
The bodies of six Indians killed in the Taliban attack in Kabul were flown to the national capital on Saturday evening, Feb 27, in a special aircraft.
The eight injured flown back were immediately taken to the Army Research and Referral hospital.
The president expressed her sympathies for the families of the dead when she was in the city to board a flight back to Delhi.
The six Indians whose bodies have been brought here have been identified as Major Dr Laishram Jyotin Singh of Army Medical Corps, Major Deepak Yadav of Army Education Corps, engineer Bhola Ram, tabla player Nawab Khan, staffer of Kandahar Consulate Nitish Chibber and ITBP constable Roshan Lal.
