Teacher strips girl for speaking in Telugu
Vijayawada, Feb 27: In an incident which demands for drawing a line between strictness and inhumanity, a girl was forced to stripped in the classroom by her teacher for speaking Telugu in an English Medium School, media report said.
The girl, studying in the third standard of St Ann's School was reportedly asked to remove her shirt by her English teacher after she was caught talking in her mother tongue 'Telugu' in the classroom instead of English.
The incident came to light when the girl reported the matter to her parents, who lodged a report against the teacher and the management of the private school at Ajitsingh Nagar area in Vijayawada.
Demanding the derecognization of the school, various women organisations and parents association staged protest infront of the school.
Media reports said that the Minister for Secondary Education D Manikya Varaprasad has ordered a probe into inquiry, adding that the school will be derecognized if proven guilty.
