ONGC bags coveted FICCI annual award
New Delhi, Feb 27(ANI): The Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has been conferred with the FICCI Annual Award 2008-2009 for "Outstanding Corporate Vision-Business Performance, Social and Environmental Action and Globalisation".
Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee handed over the award to CMD of ONGC R. S. Sharma at the inaugural session of the FICCI Annual General Meeting in the national capital on Saturday.
The award, instituted in 1967, follows a unique, systematic and rigorous three-tier selection process and the final selection is made by a special jury of eminent persons drawn from the corporate and social sphere.
Former Chief Justice of India Justice P. N. Bhagwati headed the jury for selection of award for the year 2008-2009. (ANI)
