Rail Budget 2010: Orissa to get nine new trains

Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has proposed nine new trains in the Railway Budget 2010 for Orissa.

Banerjee also allocated of funds for different railway projects in the state.

In-focus: Railway Budget 2010-11

In addition, Rs 65.53 crore has been sanctioned in the budget for undertaking traffic facilities work at various stations located in the State.

The new trains announced for the State are:

Puri-Howrah Duranto Express

Bhubaneswar-Pune weekly Express

Sambalpur- Howrah weekly Express,

Baripada- Shalimar Express (tri-weekly)

Mamata Banerjee Railway Budget Speech

Puri-Valsad weekly Express via-Katni-Bhopal-Vadodara

Puri-Digha weekly Expres,

Bhubaneswar- Khurda Road passenger

Naupada- Gunupur passenger (after gauge conversion)

Ahmedabad-Puri-Kolkata- Varanasi-Ujjain-Ahmedabad (Bharat Tirtha train).
