Rail Budget 2010: AP to get 22 new trains

Hyderabad, Feb 25: Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced at least 22 new trains for Andhra Pradesh in the Railway Budget 2010.

These new trains will pass through the South Central Railway (SCR) zone and Andhra Pradesh.

Besides this, a wagon factory and a sports academy were included railway budget to the state.

The new trains announced for the state are:

Tirupathi - Madanapalli Passenger

Vijayawada-Guntur-Chennai Passenger

Madurai - Tirupathi Trains

Tirupathi - Secunderabad Express Train

Bangalore - Tirupathi Inter city

Kachiguda - Miriyalaguda passenger

Zaheerabad - Secunderabad passenger

Kachiguda - Mahaboob Nagar - passenger

Kakinada - Manmad Express extending till Shiridi

Secunderabad - Manmad Express extending till Shiridi

New Trains from Tirupathi - Kanchipuram

Mysore - Bangalore - Tirupathi - Pune

Mumbai - Secunderabad

Mumbai- Pune - Tirupathi - Kanchipuram

Madurai - Tirupathi

Matribhoomi ladies special MMTS (multi-modal transport system) between Falaknuma and Lingampalli

The Budget also announced a Duranto non-stop AC train between Secunderabad and Mumbai.
