Bangalore, Feb 25: Thousands of students who took the first online Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2009 for admissions into the country's prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are now crossing their fingers and waiting eagerly for the results as it is expected to be announced anytime soon.
The CAT website says CAT 2009 results will be out in the end of Feb 2010.
CAT 2009 result will be announced by the third week of February 2010 onwards on the CAT website. It will also list the names of the candidates short-listed for interviews by IIMs for PGP.
The shortlisted candidates will then receive interview letters from IIMs, based on specific criteria which varies from one IIM to another.
In 2009, CAT went online for the first time after it was conducted in paper pencil format for 30 years. But the technical glitches marred the exams affecting thousands of students, who had to take the re-exam in Jan 2010.
