BJP workers clash with police in UP
Lucknow, Feb 25: The BJP's protest rally against the rising food prices took an ugly turn as the party clashed with the police on Thursday, Feb 25.
The agitated protestors pelted stones at the police who tried to intercept their march towards the State Assembly complex.
In retaliation police fired tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons to disperse the agitated crowd.
The BJP workers led by senior leaders like Rajnath Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi gathered at Jhule Lal Vatika to participate in a 'Maha rally against inflation, corruption'.
However the rally turned violent were they were stopped by the police.
