New Delhi, Feb 24: In a shameful incident which speaks volumes about CBI's inefficiency, former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, accused in the anti-Sikh riots have reportedly gone missing, despite a non-bailable warrant against him.

The incident had led to the suspension of Kumar's Personal Security Officer (PSO) and Z+ category protectee, Delhi Police Constable Ram Niroha, who had reported the matter to the Security Wing on Feb 19.

Following which PCR van has been stationed outside Kumar's residence in Madipur by the police.

"It seems Kumar has gone underground to evade arrest," a senior police official said.

Earlier, his lawyer had told the court that Kumar has not ran away but was considering every legal measures available to him by approaching a higher court.

Kumar could not be reached for any comments.

On being reported about their failure to arrest Kumar on Feb 23, the Court chided CBI for "not being serious in apprehending" the accused.

On Feb 23, the Court had issued fresh non-bailable warrant against the former Congress leader.
