US non-profit group asking for interview clothes donation for the unemployed

New York, Feb 23 (ANI): Dress For Success, a non-profit organization, is urging women in the U.S. to donate one new or nearly new interview suit at any Dressbarn store to help other women enter the workforce and take charge of their lives.

"One suit can truly make a difference," the New York Daily News quoted Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide, as saying.

"With the suit donation, a woman is afforded the opportunity to walk into her interview with confidence, the essential first step toward economic independence.

"Once the new job begins, Dress for Success gives her a network of support and the necessary career development tools to help her thrive in work and in life."

The organization accepts all sizes, but the greatest need is for women's suits sizes 14 and up.

Over 30,000 women are helped every year; 70 percent are single moms raising at least two kids, meaning Dress For Success has a significant impact not only on the woman, but on her family and community.

Cosmetics industry legend Bobbi Brown said that the initiative gives "women the confidence they need to land a job and change their lives - and there's nothing more beautiful than that." ANI)
