Headley's status hearing set on Feb 23
Chicago, Feb 23: David Coleman Headley, charged with plotting Mumbai terror attacks including terror plots against a Danish newspaper, is set to have his status hearing before the US district court on Tuesday, Feb 23.
Court website said that the hearing will take place before judge Harry Leinenweber in the US District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
However, as per the earlier appeal made by Headley's laywer, John Theis and Robert Seeder seeking that Headley be exempted from attending the hearing, Headley is unlikely to appear for the court hearing.
The judge would be briefed by Headley's lawyers about the progress made in the case during the hearing.
In a statement made after Headley's arraignment on Jan 2010, Theis has said that the evidence will be reviewed with Headley and that the judge would be informed on the developments in the case and if they are making progress as to an ultimate disposition of the case during the status hearing.
