Chinese President's micro blog closed after netizens' swamp
Beijing, Feb 23(ANI): The micro blog of Chinese President Hu Jintao has been closed after it was swamped by over 10,000 fans in just 24 hours despite not a single word being posted.
The website 'people.com.cn' said that many netizens reported it was taking too long to log on to Jintao's page, so the website decided to close the micro blog, The China Daily reports.
Earlier, the user under the name of Jintao had been proved to be the Chinese president himself and the website had also confirmed his registration.
Meanwhile, a large number of netizens have applied for their own micro blog on the website after they found Jintao was among the users.
The Chinese President had inspected the website on June 20, 2008. (ANI)
