Army personnel killed in Kashmir gun battle

Srinagar, Feb 23 (ANI): An army personnel was killed in a gun battle between the militants and the security forces on Tuesday morning in Sopore town of Kashmir.

As reported, the militants opened fire on the joint search party of the Army and the police at Chankipura, around 55 kilometers from here.

The jawan was killed in the gun battle that took place at around 5 a.m. today, said a defence spokesperson.

However, there are reports that the gun battle between the two sides is still on. (ANI)
