Delhi: Traffic policeman stabbed to death

New Delhi, Feb 21: A 38-year-old traffic constable was stabbed to death by a rickshaw puller in north- east Delhi on Saturday, Feb 21.

Dinesh Kumar Kumar was attacked when he was trying to move away the rickshaws to de-congest traffic in Khajuri Khaz area.

According to a police officer, angry over the move, rickshaw puller stabbed him in the stomach and chest and fled with an ice-pick.

"Dinesh was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Efforts are on to arrest the absconding rickshaw puller," the officer added.

The incident comes just days after a group of six youths allegedly knocked off a police sub-inspector for booking them for drunken driving.
