Sudanese student dies, Pune blast toll up to 12
Pune, Feb 20: Yet another person who was injured in the Feb 13 Pune blast succumbed to his injuries taking the death toll to 12.
Hospital sources have revealed that a Sudanese student, who was injured in the German Bakery explosion, died on Friday, Feb 19 night.
The latest victim has been identified as 26-year-old Sudanese student Amjad Elgazoli, who was studying at Wadia college in the city.
With this a total of three foreigners have been killed in the terror attack. Nadia Macerini, an Italian woman, and Iranian national Sayyed Syed Khani were the other two foreigners killed in the blast.
The blast which took place a week ago killed nine people on the spot and sent over 50 people to hospitals. Out of those injured 11 have been identified as foreigners.
Earlier this week, two Indian students, one from Lucknow and another from Delhi succumbed to injuries accounting for the 10th and 11th deaths caused by the blast.
