7 killed, eight injured in head-on-collision between two vehicles near Guwahati

Guwahati, Feb 19 (ANI): At least seven persons were killed and around eight others injured in a head-on-collision between a loaded truck and a Tata Safari car, around 40 kilometers from here.

Tata Safari was overloaded with people, who were on their way to attend a marriage ceremony. The driver of the vehicle lost control while bending a curve and hit the truck.

The accident took place on National Highway 37 near Kaoimari under Chaygaon police station in Kamrup district early on Friday morning.

Police sources said the injured have been admitted to the Guwahati medical college hospital for treatment. (ANI)
