Maoists attack has strengthened our resolve: Govt

New Delhi, Feb 17: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday, Feb 17, said that the attack on jawans has strengthened the government to fight Maoists.

Speaking to reporters, Mukherjee said, "It is a dastardly attack and I can only tell it has strengthened our resolve to fight against this menace..."

He was responding to a question when asked about Monday's Feb 15, attack by the Maoists.

24 jawans of West Bengal's paramilitary force Eastern Frontier Rifle were killed when the ultras overran their camp at Silda in West Midnapore district after setting it on fire.
