Best looking nations: US tops, India comes 8th

London, Feb 17: Indians have claimed the eight spot in a new global list featuring top 20 nations which boasts of good looking people.

A poll of more than 5,000 globe-trotting Britons, has placed USA as the country with the most good looking people while Spain followed in the second spot.

"United States, home to George Clooney and Jessica Simpson, came top," reports The Telegraph.

However, India which comes in the Top 10 of the list beats France and Canada. Germans finish last in the race.

The nations which figure in the www.OnePoll.com survey are:

Speaking to the Telegraph, a spokeswoman of the market research firm said, "America has got a lot on offer and boasts some of the sexiest people on the planet. The likes of Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt all help America's image as a hot bed of good looking people."

Speaking on the English coming in the seventh spot, after Italians and the Swedes, the spokeswoman said that the talent of these countries worked for them as against the 'lazy, pale Brits'.

From these two statements it can be understood that the a country's icons and stars' global presence and appreciation of their looks on various lists along with the extent of talent are two major factors that add to the weightage of a good looking nation.
