Two 'suspicious' Brit nationals detained in Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 16: Security personnel have detained two British nationals from the Radisson Hotel near the Indira Gandhi International Airport after they received a tip off on suspicious activity.
The arrests were made on Saturday, Feb 13, the police informed on Tuesday, Feb 16. The two men detained have been identified as Stephen Hampston, who is in his mid-40s, 55-year-old and Steve Martin.
The police made the arrests based on the information that the two were carrying sophisticated air surveillance equipment. High-tech binoculars have been recovered from them.
Incidentally, the arrests took place on the same day as the Pune terror attack at the German Bakery.
The country has been put on high alert due to heightened terror threat.
