Two militants killed in Kashmir gunbattle

Srinagar, Feb 15: Two militants were gunned down by security forces in a gunbattle on Monday morning, Feb 15, in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.

According to a senior police official, the encounter broke out after militants hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on security forces at Khodwani town here.

The militants are believed to be holed up inside a house.

A team of Army and police personnel carried out the encounter. The exchange of fire was going on.
