Pak Taliban claims responsibility for Bannu attacks

Laddah (Pakistan), Feb. 15 (ANI): The Pakistan Taliban has claimed responsibility for Thursday's twin attacks in Bannu that killed 16 people, and injured 22 others.

On Thursday, at least 16 people were killed at the Police Lines area in Bannu that included a district police officer.

The Dawn quoted Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan leader Qari Hussain, as saying that the suicide attacks in Bannu had been organised by his organisation.

"The attacks were carried out to avenge the military operation in Bajaur," he said, while speaking on the phone. (ANI)
