Explosives seized in Gujarat, three arrested
Rajkot, Feb 15: Police have arrested three people with huge cache of explosives from Surendranagar and Panchmahal districts in Gujarat.
Surendranagar district police said, "Kalpesh Gohil (29) was arrested for illegally carrying large stock of explosives materials from Limbdi town late last night, Sunday, Feb 14.
Gohil was carrying huge stock of explosives in his car on Rajkot-Ahmedabad national highway near Limbdi town, police said.
Explosives recovered from Gohil include 50 kg ammonium nitrate, 850 gelatin sticks, 300 electric detonator and 100 safety fuse, police said.
Police said, "While in Godhra taluka of Panchmahal district, two persons were arrested with explosives including 84 detonators and 52 gelatin sticks."
