Church hands out romantic tips to celebrate Valentine's Day!
London, February 14 (ANI): The Church of England has come up with its own tips to help couples keep the spark alive on Valentine's Day.
The church offered amorous ideas for those aiming to keep their marriage happy and those planning to go down on one knee.
Recommendations for married peopled to create the perfect romantic moment included revisiting memories with wedding photographs, writing love letters to each other, planting a tree to represent eternal love and even getting out their "best crockery for a romantic candle-lit meal", reports the Telegraph.
Those planning to pop the question were advised to recreate elements from a first date or first meeting and let their partners know "what made you so sure you wanted them for life".
The Rt Rev Stephen Platten, the Bishop of Wakefield, elaborated on the Church's new emphasis on Valentine's Day.
He said: "It seems to me that by putting this emphasis on marriage, churches can offer something that's very important for the stability of society. Quite often Christianity is at its best when it has taken something from folklore and used it to its advantage." (ANI)
