Zee Turner office attacked

Mumbai, Feb 13: In the latest attack on the media offices, the office of Zee Turner Ltd, a joint venture between Turner International and Essel group was attacked on Saturday, Feb 13, police said.

"We have registered a case of rioting and trespassing against six unidentified persons for damaging and attacking the office of Zee Turner at Vakola in suburban Mumbai. The six gathered in a group outside Zee Turner's office in Vakola last night and attacked the office, causing minor damage to property," a senior police official in a news agency report.

Suspecting it to be an outcome of the ongoing payment-dispute between Zee Turner and Hathway Cables, the company has pointed finger Hathway Cables.

Recently, the company had threatened to stop the airing of its channels by Hathway Cables had due to payment defaults.

"Hathway has been avoiding signing the agreement for airing these 33 channels despite numerous efforts by Zee Turner and now being overdue by almost 10 months," Zee Turner said.

33 channels in India including Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Cartoon Network, Pogo, HBO, Zee Cafe and Zee
Business are aired by Zee Turners.
