Jaipur, Feb 13 (ANI): Nature lovers from different professional backgrounds have come forward to actively participate in 'Save Tiger Campaign' in Jaipur.

These people do not run an organization and are not doing all these to earn profit.

Shatrunjay Singh, Volunteer Tiger Conservator said, "We have a base level network, the information we get from a common man, we forward it to different government organizations, forest departments, NGO's, as we thought unless and until a common man is a part of this movement the government can't do anything alone."

"We are not an organization or an NGO looking for profit or non profit, neither we are using any kind of funds here," added Singh.

Their sources of information are the forest guards, guides, drivers and villagers.

They have a network of 50-55 people. Whoever gets information passes it to the rest.

The information is crosschecked, and only after this it is passed to the forest officials.

The volunteers claim success in their initiatives.

Another volunteer tiger conservator Desh Bandu Vaid said, "We have been successful as we cross check the information that is given to us, the forest officials can't give you any information as their information is given to the government."

"The private people can help, people who visit temples in the villages, and even the guides give the right information," added Vaid.

The recent tiger census suggests that the descending numbers of tigers have put a lot of pressure on environmentalists and government organizations.

This group is beneficial for the government as well as they provide the government agencies with the latest updates. (ANI)
