18-litre wine bottle expected to fetch £4,800 at auction

London, Feb 13 (ANI): A massive 18-litre bottle of wine is to be auctioned off at Sotheby's in London next week, and it is expected to fetch up to 4,800 pounds.

The rare Chateau Cheval Blanc 2006, which has a circumference of 27.5in, was so huge that it took two men to carry it as it went on show at Sotheby's on February 12, reports the Daily Express.

The Melchior-size wine bottle will be auctioned on February 17 in a Finest and Rarest Wines and Vintage Port sale.

But despite clearly dwarfing regular-sized bottles, it's not the biggest of its kind around.

Last month a group of Chinese wine makers claimed the new world record for the biggest bottle of wine ever - holding 1,850 litres. (ANI)
