Rathore stabbed repeatedly outside court

Chandigarh, Feb 8: The country's anger against Ruchika Girhotra's molester, SPS Rathore took a new form on Monday, Feb 8, when a man attacked the disgraced former Haryana police chief right outside the court here with a sharp object.

The shocking visuals of the attack shows an enraged man attacking Rathore outside the court and stabbing him on his neck and his face repeatedly. The accused in the 1990 molestation case sustained injuries to his face. A bleeding Rathore wiped the blood off his face with a handkerchief.

As per preliminary reports, the man who attacked Rathore has been identified as a freelance journalist. This is based on the information that the attacker was standing with journalists outside the District court, where Rathore along with his lawyer and wife Abha were summoned for in-camera hearings.

Rathore has been taken to a hospital and the police has detained the attacker.
