Daredevil sets new world record by swallowing 18 swords
Melbourne, February 8 (ANI): A daredevil has rewritten world record pages after swallowing 18 razor sharp swords at the same time.
Professional sword swallower Chayne Hultgren set the new Guinness World Record after beating his own 2008 record of 17 swords.
The 31-year-old, popularly called the Space Cowboy, raised the bar after swallowing all of the 72 centimetres long blades in Sydney.
"It's amazing. I've been preparing for this since I was 16. It is definitely one of my greatest achievements so far," the Daily Telegraph quoted Hultgren as saying.ut he warned: "It's educated risk. I don't just straight away grab 18 blades and shove them down my throat - you've got to practise a lot and build up to it.
"So I stretch my throat with hoses and use a few different techniques to basically enable me to do what, until now, has been impossible." (ANI)
