English teacher, IT manager in China jailed for running porn site

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): A Chinese English teacher and an IT manager have been imprisoned after it was revealed that the duo had been managing a porn site.

According to Chinanews.com.cn, the 35-year-old teacher surnamed Zhang, working at an international language school in east China's Zhejiang province and an IT firm manager, surnamed Zhu, set up the site "Pervert BT", in 2009, reports the China Daily.

The porn site contained 117 porn videos.

Zhu said he didn't know that their "undertaking" was illegal.

"There are so many porn websites online. They make money, so I just want to have a try," Zhu told a court in Wuxi city, where the network's file server is based.

Zhu was sentenced to ten months' imprisonment for distributing pornography and Zhang was given a five-month jail term. (ANI)
