Four foreign journalists feared dead in Lower Dir blast
Islamabad, Feb.3 (ANI): At least four foreign journalists have reportedly been killed in a devastating bomb blast, which occurred near a girls school in Blambutt tehsil in Lower Dir on Wednesday.
According to initial reports, numerous other persons were also injured in the blast, including some security personnel.
The blast, which was said to be triggered by an IED, was planted on a roadside and targeted a convoy of foreign journalists passing by.
Unconfirmed reports said that the school building has also been damaged in the huge blast. Some girls are feared trapped in the debris.
Relief and rescue teams arrived on the site soon after the incident, and search and evacuation work was still on till reports last filtered in.
There are also reports of some local media persons being injured in the blast, The News reports. (ANI)
