Berlusconi assailant Tartaglia to be released from psychiatric unit

London, Feb 3 (ANI): Massimo Tartaglia, the man who assaulted Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in December last year, is to be released from psychiatric hospital, it has emerged.

The mentally disturbed Tartaglia has been under police guard in the hospital, and is placed under house arrest in a "care community".

Tartaglia, 42, was arrested and imprisoned immediately after the attack in Milan on December 13, reports The Times.

He had hurled a model of Milan cathedral at Berlusconi face while the Prime Minister was signing autographs at the end of a political rally. (ANI)
