Srinagar: Protest after youth's death in police action

Srinagar, Feb 1 (ANI): Protests broke out in parts of Srinagar on Monday morning a day after the death of a teenage boy in youth-police clashes.

The teenager was killed after a teargas shell hurled by police to curb stone-pelting mobs hit his head near Gani Stadium in Rajouri Kadal area on Sunday.

His funeral procession turned into a protest march with scores of people gathered here and show their anger against the police action.

Security was tightened in and around the area to maintain law and order. (ANI)
