Irate villagers set murder accused' house on fire in Imphal
Imphal, Feb 1 (ANI): Irate villagers on Sunday set on fire the house of an accused of killing a 26-year-old woman in Imphal.
The body of Rajkumari Ratanmala was found in an open paddy field on Saturday, bearing possible marks of rape before being murdered.
Soibam Dhanabir Singh, 36, accepted his involvement in the murder and gave himself up to police.
Four truckloads of men and women hailing from Khurai village attacked the Singh's residence in Ningombam village.
In a similar incident, the bodies of a 36-year-old widow and her 17-year-old daughter were found in an open paddy field on January 23, bearing the possible marks of rape before being murdered. (ANI)
