CBI has proof of Prabhakaran's death: PC
New Delhi, Feb 1: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram said that the CBI has received the 'documentation' confirming the death of LTTE Chief V Prabhakaran.
Speaking to reporters, Chidambaram said, "The CBI has told me that they received documentation from the Government of Sri Lanka confirming the death of Prabhakaran."
The Home Minister's statement comes after CBI had said that it was still awaiting the death certificate of Prabhakaran in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
Sri Lankan forces had recovered the body of Prabhakaran on May 18, 2009.
