Kate Middleton 'scales down work commitments'

London, Jan 31 (ANI): Kate Middleton has added to rumours of a possible engagement with Prince William after she reportedly reduced her professional commitments.

The 28-year-old Kate, who has been dating the elder Prince for the past seven years, worked at her parents' mail order company Party Pieces near the family home in Berkshire but is "barely doing any work for them any more" if sources are to be believed.

Speculation that the pair could make an engagement announcement "in weeks" has been high since Christmas.

A five-day 'summit' is said to have taken place between Christmas and New Year at Prince Charles's Scottish retreat, Birkhall, to discuss timings.

Also, a conference call was reportedly made to Kate's parents to allay concerns about their daughter putting her life on hold while she waits for a proposal. William, 27, is believed to have reassured them on Kate's 28th birthday this month that the couple will tie the knot in the near future.

Rumours has it that an announcement could be made the next month or after the elections in May.

Insiders say, "mountains will be moved" to accommodate William and Kate's wedding even if the timing look inconvenient to others.

"Everyone wants this wedding. It really isn't a case of if anymore, but when," the Daily Express quoted a source as saying. (ANI)
