Jaya Prada criticises Amar Singh's detractors
New Delhi, Jan 31 (ANI): A friend in need is a friend indeed, the age-old saying seemed to have inspired Lok Sabha member and cine actor Jaya Prada on Sunday when she came in full support of SP leader Amar Singh.
On Sunday, Jaya Prada criticised Samajwadi Party leadership for opposing former party General Secretary Amar Sngh.
Addressing the media here, Jaya Prada lashed out at detractors of Amar Singh, saying they will be responsible if "anything happened to him".
She said despite his poor health, Amar Singh has worked selflessly for the party and even campaigned for SP candidates during UP assembly elections and last year's Lok Sabha polls.
"If anything happens to him (Amar Singh), those who have targeted him in the party will be responsible," said Jaya Prada.
Jaya Prada, who represents the Rampur Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh is considered close to Amar Singh.
It is worth recalling that Amar Singh, the former General Secretary of Sawajwadi Party, had backed Jaya Prada to the hilt" when Azam Khan targeted her during Lok Sabha polls
However, Jaya Prada said she was not quitting the Samajwadi Party. (ANI)
