Winston Churchill's 1941 unfinished cigar sold for 4,500 pounds
London, Jan 30 (ANI): A half smoked cigar belonging to former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill has been auctioned off for 4,500pounds.
Churchill left the cigar unfinished in 1941 when he was attending a Cabinet meeting.
The four-inch stub was picked up by a Downing Street worker, who sent it to a friend with a note jotted on Number 10 writing paper, reports Sky News.
The friend treasured the stub, which was passed to a relative after his death.
Thereafter, a private collector bought it at a sale in Norfolk.
Auctioneers Keys of Aylsham said they were expecting the cigar to sell for about 350pounds. (ANI)
