Spitzer breaks silence on Dupre scandal

New York, January 30 (ANI): Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has confessed that he did not wear socks while having sex with a call girl named Ashley Dupre.

The sex scandal had led to his resignation in 2008.

Spitzer admitted that he had let his family down with his acts.

"Recognizing the pain I've caused to my family...is a heavy burden to carry, as it should be," the New York Daily News quoted him as telling bigthink.com.

He said: "The sense that I have let down not only my family but friends, colleagues, the voters who had asked me to do a certain type of job.

"I desperately wanted to do that job, to do it well. I think we were trying...But I let them down and that is a very heavy burden to carry." (ANI)
