Nine killed, many inured in Karachi violence
Karachi, Jan.30 (ANI): Nine persons have been killed and many others injured as violence erupted in various parts of Karachi city on Saturday.
Several firing incidents were reported in different areas of Karachi including Liaqatabad, Orangi Town, Qasba Colony and Muslim Colony, killing nine persons.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, while taking serious notice of the incident, ordered investigation into the matter.
Law enforcers were ready to coup with any untoward incident. Heavy contingents of the police have been deployed in the affected areas while Rangers could be called for assistance, The News quoted IG Sindh Babar Khatak as saying to Geo News.
The IG Sindh, however, rejected any political influence over the recent bloodshed in the metropolis. (ANI)
