Andhra vice chairman insulted during CM's visit
Guntur, Jan 30: The alleged breach of protocol by the police during chief minister K Rosaiah's visit to the district has left the Andhra Pradesh legislative council vice-chairman Mohammed Jhani fuming with anger.
Jhani said that despite having a status of a minister, he was stopped by the police from being part of the chief minister's convoy.
He informed that the luxury bus carrying five ministers and MLAs and MLCs where behind the chief minister's car.
"The police prevented my car to follow the bus. This is arbitrary," he said in a press meet, adding that it was an insult to the national flag which his car was flying.
Taking offence at the way he was treated, Jhansi hinted that he would rise a privilege issue in the legislative council.
